Sana Sarana in 2022 – Distributing Dry Ration Packs

Sana Commerce Sri Lanka donated dry rations packs under ‘Sana Sarana’ social initiative to impoverished families in the Kotte area in Rajagiriya with the current economic crisis driving thousands in Sri Lanka to the brink of starvation. On the 29th of June, 2022 dry ration packs were distributed to residents in the surrounding areas of Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte at the Community Kitchen in Rajagiriya among poor families.

The children and teachers were in a rural area and this school lacked proper infrastructure. We decided to support the school by constructing one building to hold classrooms and a proper washroom for the boys. The project estimated an amount of LKR 2,000,000 that the CSR committee raised through fundraising activities and donations.

Water for the Kahatagahagollawa Vidyalaya 💦

Kahatagahagollawa Vidyalaya is a small school in Kabithigollawa with only 180 students studying in grades from 1 to 11. The school and the village had been largely affected by CKD and many of them lived too far to seek medical attention. After research, we did in that area, we found that access to clean drinking water could solve the problem to some extent.
